Welcome to the world!

My little girl is due in less than a week so i decided to make a welcome to the world cake to celebrate her arrival (since i wont have time to bake when she first arrives). Vanilla sponge with a fresh strawberry center and Lilac fondant! (though the photos don't show the color brilliantly). Unfortunately the piping isn't perfect but in all honesty getting close enough to the cake isn't easy when you'v got a big bump in the way! Aside from the surface flaws i'd say it was a success as the family  had demolished it within two days, so i'm quite happy with how it turned out :)

First attempt at sculpting cake into a shape, unfortunately the summer heat has made the icing sag so the tardis is not as rectangular as it should be! Oh well!

This blue owly doodle at the bottom is possibly my favorite of all! Although honestly i'm not sure why. 

Fun Fathers day cake!

This was my gift to my daddybear on fathers day, A simple chocolate sponge cake topped with hand whipped cream and raspberries, and a secret center of chocolate fudge frosting and fresh chopped strawberries. Could easily be made as a great valentines day cake, or fantastic to make just for fun!
